Retail Spotlight: The Apple Place

When you think of Autumn, do apples and pumpkins come to mind? Fantastic!

Since Autumn is right around the corner, it’s a great time to introduce you to Cindy Bellarose. Cindy is the owner of The Apple Place, one of our newest Retail Partners. We had the pleasure of chatting with Cindy, and asked her a few questions to share with you.

Q: The Apple Place is family owned, tell us the story

Cindy: The Apple Place has been a family run fruit farm since 1971. The farm is a family farm in every way and everyone helps. Our goal is to keep the farm viable and produce the best products and fruit for our customers. Thank you for supporting our family farm! Q: Tell us about the Apple Place

Cindy: The Apple Place is a labor of love. We strive to connect with the customers and serve them in a way they are not accustomed to. We try to provide a great product at a fair price and a nice family atmosphere.

Q: This year you added an ice cream stand. Tell us about it (and about the ice cream!)

Cindy: The ice cream stand has been a dream come true! We wanted to serve high quality, small scale ice cream, that was real with no growth hormones or additives. We searched many ice cream vendors, and decided upon Maple Valley Creamery, based on their small farm status and their family lifelong farming same as our farm. The ice cream is really special because all of their cows are Jersey cows, which produce less milk, making it more creamy. The soft serve ice cream we sell is the top quality available and is double the cream content as most soft serve ice cream.

Q: What has been your favorite moment/memory about The Apple Place so far?

Cindy: My favorite moment has been a family of several kids coming to the farm and smiling and enjoying themselves. They told me that God is here and it is very evident. That is the greatest compliment we could ever be given!
