Why Soy Wax? #5 "Scentsory" Decorating

We are often asked why Fragrant Elegance products are made with soy wax versus other options currently available (such as paraffin). It is for this reason that this series is titled “Why Soy Wax? Top 5 Reasons”. Each company has a reason for choosing resources, and our hope is after this series you will understand why we chose to use soy wax in our products.

Reason #5: “Scentsory” Decorating

When decorating, we often choose visual pieces to create the desired effect or atmosphere (think color patterns, themes, etc…) “Scentsory” decorating is the use of scents and aromas to help compliment and enhance your decor.

A really good example of “scentsory” decorating that comes to mind is decorations during Christmas time. A popular fragrance during the Christmas Holiday Season tends to be a Christmas Tree type, especially for those of us who have fake trees. Imagine a room full of gorgeous holiday décor (a stunning tree, garland and gifts, beautiful candles lit in the room) and you smell the aroma of a freshly dressed Christmas Tree. All the beautiful décor creates visual pleasure and joy, and now you have added an aroma (or scent) factor. Your tree is now “alive” and it feels like Christmas- it’s amazing!

The qualities of soy wax (which will be discussed in more detail in later posts) allows for candles with a stronger and purer scent throw. This creates great candles with the desired scent for any environment and design scheme.
