Youth Summer Camps Rock!

Summer is right around the corner! Soon children and youth will be ending their school year, and will be needing positive activities to enjoy during their Summer vacations. For the whole month of June, we at Fragrant Elegance Soy Candle Company will be holding an online fundraiser to support our local Youth attend Summer Camp. In this particular Fundraiser, money raised will be donated to Cornerstone Church to support their youth.

We understand that school vacations can be stressful for some families, and that financially not everyone is able to afford activities such as summer camps. We also realize that these major events are perhaps one of the greatest investments that can be made in a youth's current and future well-being. Some benefits of youth summer camps are:

• provide youth with an opportunity to develop closer friendships with others on the trip

• allow for different circumstances and new challenges

• creates extended time together and unique memories

• Church camps and retreats allow youth to experience God in ways that can be impossible to convey in a few hours a week in a church building

• Attending church summer camps can help youth to enjoy and be excited about being a part of youth group and Sunday school

Studies have shown that one of the greatest indicators of a youth’s serious involvement in anything is the relationships they enjoy (whether it's sports, school. extra curriculars, etc...) What this means is that if youth know and enjoy being around their youth pastor, small group leader, and peers in the youth group, they more likely will pursue Christ more passionately and with more dedication.
